A lovely and versatile cardigan jacket by Tamay & Me. The cut of this jacket is a shortened version of the traditional Mien women's jacket. Made with Tamay’s signature handspun, handwoven cotton from north Vietnam, naturally dyed in fermented indigo fourteen times to create a rich blue. The tie-resist pattern is made by wrapping cotton around paper balls for a dot effect.

The cardigan jackets are a square, boxy cut, with straight shoulders, which is typical of Vietnam; it has a relaxed fit, quite unlike more Western tailored sleeves and shoulder lines, with the sleeves being slightly cropped. The back of the garment is made up of two panels with a stand-up collar. It can be worn over-sized for an extra relaxed fit or smaller for a more structured look, either on its own or as a layer. The tie-waste can be tied tight or loose, or even left open, to vary the look, resulting in a really versatile garment.

XS - pit to pit 57cm, length at back (not including collar) 52cm

Tamay & Me recommend handwashing this garment in cool water, line drying and hot ironing. They use ancient fermented indigo in the dying process. There will be some colour rub when new, so please avoid contact with light colour fabrics and upholstery.
