Welcoming spring

There have been some truly beautiful days in Penzance recently; bright, sunny days to really lift the spirits. Nature seems to be wakening at a pace now.

The start of spring has heralded a change in the shop too, with the blues collection moving upstairs and the naturals collection moving back to the ground floor. Leading the way with this new spring-like feeling, are these cheering yellow gingham garments by Handworked Clothing.

Our classic, semi-fitted shirt, is full of the joys of spring in this yellow gingham with the lovely addition of delicate hand-embroidered flowers around the button holes. It is made from a medium-weight linen fabric, creating a very versatile piece - perfect for wearing as either a buttoned-up shirt or open as a lightweight jacket.

Carole has also used this yellow gingham to make our elasticated waist skirt. It features a contrasting natural linen waistband and hem facing, plus there are two side pockets - we do love pockets!
